My name is Gabriel Corbera, a Barcelona based illustrator.
This online portfolio was first launched in 2006 after years working in various facets of the graphic image, designing, cartooning and illustrating, to show and develop a work specially influenced by my likings and interests in a more personal way, always trying to lend a warm and fun feeling to the final art.
Comics and ads from the first half of the 20th century as well as the 30's and 40's design have a seminal influence in all my work, remaking their main features to achieve nowadays style and satisfying client assignments. Trying not to lose the human touch of those images, the most of my work is made by hand bearing in mind the making process of those old days (handmade typography, coloring printing, serigraphy, etc) and saving the digital media for last stage.
My work has been awarded Gold Medal in 2008 by SPD Awards and my list of clients includes The Building, Esquire, Running Press, The Believer, Time Out, EasyJet, Ryan Air, American Airlines and Vueling among others.
